The Pool Cue Butt Sleeve

The pool cue butt sleeve is the final section of the pool stick. This is where the design from the forearm usually continues and it's also where the bore hole is located for the weight bolt. Changing this bolt for one of a different weight is how the desired weight of the pool cue is achieved.

The butt sleeve is made of the same wood as the forearm, usually rock maple, and it normally is decorated in a similar manner. Inlays, veneers, decals, and paint schemes can all appear here to add symmetry to the pool cue design.

The butt sleeve lies against the wrap on one end and the bumper attaches to it on the other.
